Communities Pull Together In Remembrance.
FCYFC joined many other Football Clubs across the country on 15th May standing in solidarity to pay respects to the 9 year old boy Jordan Banks, who tragically lost his life while training at his local football club in Blackpool.
As a mark of respect all our training groups staged a 1 minute clap standing in circles around 9 footballs. The club wanted to pay tribute to Jordan at this very sad time
We want to thank all our members for their incredible support and for showing such respect for 9 year old Jordan. Caroline Moyses, Club Welfare Officer said: "I'm proud to be a part of such an amazing club. Well done. The FA Respect slogan is ‘We only do positive’ and just look at everyone. Amazing!"
Janine Kennedy, Club Chair, said "Thankyou for your donations, and taking part in 1 minute of reflection - whether clapping or silence.
The money we raised from your donations will be put to a local mental health charity which is what Jordan raised money for. This seems appropriate as it coincides with Mental Health Awareness week. "
FCYFC sends our love, support and condolences to the family and friends of Jordan at this very sad time.
