We are delighted that the Cornwall Youth Football League has chosen Andy Palmer as their next Coach of the Week. We're very proud of all his hard work and dedication to the club.
Andy is a self proclaimed 'footie dad' who wanted to help more with coaching, so he did his level 1 course 2 years ago.
Since then, he has gained in confidence as a coach through helping at community training and refereeing our league matches.
With a desire to focus more on coaching a new team, Andy took on an U14 development squad who, thanks to Andy, became our Falmouth Phoenix team. Andy recruited extra players and two university students, Cole Dickinson and Dom, to assist with the coaching and the team have now entered into the league.
As well as taking the lead on all their training sessions and match days, Andy has also supplied sponsored jackets and MOTM trophies for the players.
Andy always has a huge smile, he's always willing to help others, always positive and always wants what is best for the players in his team.
He goes above and beyond to create a positive environment and it is an absolute pleasure to see just how much these players have developed in such a short space of time.
"Coach of the Week" - that's 2 in a row...can we make it 3?!
