The Christmas spirit was certainly evident on Saturday 10th December at our Christmas Community Football party. It was a great morning of football, cakes, sweets, tombola, raffle, and all topped off with a visit to see Santa
Arno, Club President commented: "When I looked around and saw so many people enjoying themselves, I must admit it brought some tears of joy to me. That is why I am still proud to be part of such a great community."
This event was only the amazing success it was because of our wonderful community of club members. There are too many people to thank individually but special mention to the coaches for keeping the children warm and busy playing football on this frosty morning; Just the Trick for designing the Club Christmas Card, Dean and a group of helpers for collecting the club badges and attaching them to the cards. Also thanks to Falmouth Cricket Club for the loan of their marquee; thanks to Gear Farm for donating so many pasties; thanks to Marc for driving down to the Lizard to collect the pasties; thanks to our wonderful Santa for making 200 children and community helpers very happy; and of course huge thanks to all the parents and carers for all the tombola and cake donations and help on the day.
Janine, Club Chair summed the event up saying “WOW! What a morning! It’s amazing what happens when the community comes together.”
