Welcome

Falmouth Community Youth Football Club coaches young people from the ages of 5 years to 16 years.  It provides a friendly and supportive environment that enables the children to thrive and build their football and team work skills. It has grown enormously since it’s foundation in 2016. The club currently has over 500 children as members with around 80 coaches and parent helpers. The club is now a registered Community Amateur Sports Club.

Falmouth Community Youth Football Club is an England Football Accredited Club and we have been since 2021. We’re very proud of this recognition of our commitment to providing the very best in grassroots youth football.

Previous to this we were awarded the Charter Standard Youth Club Award for 5 seasons

It demonstrates that our club offers a place where everyone can enjoy playing football in a safe environment.

Our History

Community football on Saturday mornings started over 35 years ago on Tregenver field under the expert coaching of Arno Canale. It started as a youth development programme for Falmouth Town FC.

When Arno retired from coaching in 2016, a new committee was formed and the club became a charter standard community club called Falmouth Community Youth Football Club.  Part of that standard is to ensure that all training is undertaken by FA qualified coaches, and that all people connected with the club or who come into contact with children are DBS checked.

We are an FA Accredited Club and have 23 teams including 5 girls teams. We have almost 30 FA Level 1 “Introduction to Coaching” coaches, 8 FA Level 2 “UEFA C” coaches and over 60 support coaches and community helpers. We are also fortunate to have 20 Duke of Edinburgh students who help coach at community football, 15 qualified Youth Referees and 7 Youth Mental Health First Aiders. Everyone volunteers their time for free!

Our continued growth and success is dependent on volunteer parents, guardians and carers to help support the children in any capacity – whether it is helping to run a team or volunteering during Saturday mornings.  If you are interested in getting involved please contact us!

Our ethos

Every player has the opportunity to play football in a safe environment with the correct level of challenge for them to develop to the best of their ability.

Football for all.
